Beauty and youthfulness have everything to do with healthy skin. The sun, gravity (years of downward pull from the center of the earth), free radicals, and a poor nutrient-deficient diet may have played havoc with the health of your skin.
Collagen, the protein substance that gives structure to your skin, may decrease in production as you age. In addition, elastin, a protein substance in your body’s elastic tissues that gives your skin its elasticity and smoothness, may be damaged by free radicals from your own body and from the environment.
The only agents that can protect your skin from aging or the ravaging effects of free radicals are antioxidants, which include the flavonoids. Scientific studies have shown that flavonoid support healthy collagen and elastin, maintaining their elasticity by realigning these proteins to a more youthful undamaged form. The polyphenols in green tea, in particular EGCG and ECG, effectively reduce collagenase activity. Polyphenols are phytonutrients, which are naturally occurring compounds in plants to protect them from free radicals, bacteria, parasites, insects and diseases.
In addition, green tea can alleviate allergy symptoms in your skin by reducing inflammation and inhibiting the release of histamine from cells. Skin allergies cause skin reactions, which may damage the health of your skin.
For healthier skin, drink more green tea. The Chinese have been drinking green tea for thousands of years.

Restylane - Another Wrinkle Remover?
Restylane has been touted as another major breakthrough in face lift.
To be effective facial line filler, a cosmetic product must meet the following criteria demanded by the general public:
• It has to be safe.
• It has to be lasting.
• It has to be the least invasive.
Restylane comes close to being the ideal wrinkle eraser to date.
What is Restylane?
Restylane is a clear gel injected into your skin to soften your facial contours, and to remove lines and wrinkles on your face.
Restylane comes from a product that is as biocompatible and biodegradable as the natural hyaluronic acid (HA), which is naturally found in your body. Hyaluronic acid, present mainly in your skin, is a substance that gives your body its structure and volume by attracting and holding on to the water in your skin. Therefore, it is most ideal for line or wrinkle filler. Your body’s hyaluronic acid declines as you age; by age 50, your skin may have lost more than half of its hyaluronic acid.
Restylane has several advantages over other similar products to remove wrinkles.
• Because hyaluronic acid is naturally found in your body, Restylane eliminates any rejection risk by your own body. As a matter of fact, a skin test before initial application of Restylane is not even required.
• Restylane, unlike Botox, does not paralyze your facial muscles. For this reason, Restylane can be injected anywhere on your face, while Botox is effective only on wrinkles on your forehead or around your eyes, but ineffective on facial lines around your mouth.
• Compared to collagen, which is an injection of body fat to fill out wrinkles on your face, Restylane lasts much longer (up to a year) than collagen (usually up to 3 to 4 months) does. Although Restylane costs 40 to 50 percent more than collagen does, it is in fact more cost effective due to its lasting effects.
Nowadays, many physicians use Restylane to smooth out wrinkles, and Botox to prevent wrinkles from re-forming.

Toxins and Detoxification
Recently, there has been a lot of concern in the media over the health problems created by chemical toxins, such as BPA, a chemical present in plastic bottles, and lead poisoning in children's toys.
If you are concerned over the lead poisoning of toys from China, or over the toxicity of BPA in plastic bottles, then you should detoxify yourself.
Given the bureaucracy of the whole system with the whole industry behind it, your concerns and protests may well fall on deaf ears. For years, the government has been poisoning you with toxins, ranging from your drinking water, your pharmaceutics, to the foods you consume, through lack of legislation and inadequate supervision. You cannot reply on the government, no more than you can reply on the medical establishment to maintain your health. You should take charge of your own health. Given that you cannot be immune from toxins in everyday living, detoxification is the only option.
Disease is caused by toxins, which inflict stress on your cells. In life, stress may come in different forms, such as radiation stress (a cause of cancer), emotional stress (a cause of mental illness), nutritional stress (a cause of eating disorders), and chemical stress (a cause of many types of disease).
It is important to go organic as much as possible. Go Organic in 10 Steps gives you all the information you need to go organic. Eat only Super Foods and stop ingesting toxins into your body is the first step towards good health. Stop autointoxication (which is self-poisoning).
In addition, to prevention, we should eliminate all toxins as much as possible through internal cleansing.

Is Calorie Restriction Anti-aging?
“To lengthy thy life, lessen they meals.” Benjamin Franklin
Reducing your calories holds the key to longevity. There is no quick fix to your weight problem and there is no elixir to longevity. Simply eat less.
Calorie restriction eating less than your body needs to maintain your normal weight. But how much less should you eat? Research studies show that you should eat 20 to 25 percent less that what you body weight requires. For example, if you need 2,000 daily calories for weight maintenance, you just eat 1,500 to 1,600 calories a day on a calorie restriction diet. Experts believe that a calorie restriction diet may slow down your aging process and extend your life. Research studies have shown that calorie restriction can extend animals’ lives. But does it apply to humans as well?
Anyway, if you decide to go on a calorie restriction diet, you must carefully monitor your food intake to ensure you are getting all the nutrients your need to stay healthy, such as foods that are rich in nutrients but low in calories. they're getting all the vitamins and nutrients they need. This can mean choosing more foods that are full of nutrients, but low in calories, such as vegetables and whole grains.
Whether or not calorie restriction can extend human life remains to be verified. People undergoing calorie restriction, whether through a restricted diet only or through a combination of diet and exercise, typically have seen positive changes in their:
• Blood pressure
• Blood sugar
• Body fat percentage
• Cholesterol levels
• Heart rate
• Weight
If calorie restriction does have these health benefits, it certainly will enhance the quality of life, if not extend the lifespan itself.
That said, calorie restriction may have its downside. If not carefully monitored, calorie restriction may lead to the development of anorexia or other eating disorders, as well as bone loss and malnutrition. e other important factors into consideration, such as undiagnosed cancer or other serious illnesses that may have caused weight loss. But the results do give reason to be cautious when considering calorie restriction.
The moral lesson here is: Simply eat less.
The decision of going on a calorie restriction diet is all yours. If you wish to lose weight, going on a fad diet will not help. Restricting calories is the only solution to a weight problem. Striving to get around it will result in a yo-yo body weight, which is not good for your longevity health.
